Lavaredo K80
80 km, 4'600m+
My race time: 15:38 h
Time limit: 22 hours
A race through the wild Dolomites and, at the same time, a journey into my inner self. The Lavaredo Ultratrail a month ago in South Tyrol near Cortina d'Ampezzo was more than just a race over hill and dale. Every step on the breathtaking and challenging trail meant overcoming obstacles, endurance, and, as you got closer to the finish, determination. This 15-minute video, shot in glorious weather, is intended to inspire all those seeking the thrill of a limit-pushing experience or pursuing their own dreams. Ultratrails over long distances and high elevation gain shape me not only as an athlete, but as a person. It's not about pace, not about ranking. It's about perseverance and belief, about experiencing, about growth. Thanks to everyone who has accompanied and supported me along the way.
The Lavaredo 80 km 4'600 HM is part of the La Sportiva Lavaredo Ultra Trail by UTMB events in the Dolomites and is a challenging route through the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites. Runners must carry a list of mandatory equipment, including a long-sleeved jacket, long pants or tights, a hat or bandana, warm and waterproof gloves, a water reserve of at least 1 liter, a cup of at least 15 cl, their race number, an emergency blanket, a whistle, a mobile phone, and a waterproof jacket with a hood that can withstand the mountain weather conditions. You will also need a headlamp with spare batteries, energy bars, and at least €20 in case you need to buy something at the mountain huts. It is also important to bring your own food, as disposable cutlery is not provided at the aid stations.
