The 42,195-kilometer route leads past the world-famous sights of Lucerne – and sometimes even through them. More than 2,000 marathon runners take part every year. In total, the SwissCityMarathon – Lucerne has over 13,000 participants and over 50,000 fans. The event takes place on the last Sunday in October.
